Deutsche Habitat is a pioneer in sustainable and future-oriented construction. We create low-cost and affordable living spaces with environmentally sound architecture and the housing of the future. Our focus is on large-volume residential uses, primarily in the environs of growing economic areas. Currently, we are developing more than 11,000 residential units on around 1.5 million square meters of land. We identify the potential of sites at an early stage and develop them into multifunctional living spaces geared to local needs. Existing social and structural characteristics are preserved – existing settlement structures are upgraded. Through our sustainable site development, we create more value for communities and cities than just housing. Deutsche Habitat works with partners who share our values and goals: Keeping real estate in the portfolio for the long term and renting it out in a socially responsible manner.
Life is colorful and multifaceted. The demands on living space are just as varied. Over the past decades, the Deutsche Habitat team has successfully realized around 1 million square meters of usable space. During this time, it has also strategically managed and administered more than 1,000 properties, partly as an owner and partly as a service provider, and placed them after repositioning, which often included redevelopments. Due to its shareholder structure and track record, Deutsche Habitat has a nationwide network in all circles relevant to land and project development and thus also has unique access to the most interesting projects.
